Augere and Greenpacket, a leading developer of next generation mobile broadband and networking solutions, have announced the beginning of a mutually beneficial business relationship at a signing ceremony held in Kuala Lumpar this week. The Memorandum of Understanding formalizes their collaboration towards the common goal of delivering a superior broadband experience to customers through the sharing of knowledge and experience.

The signing comes on the back of a supply agreement valued at USD 7.2m which will see Greenpacket supply its UH Shuttle USB modems (Shuttle) to support Augere’s wireless broadband operations in Asia. Infused with state of the art technology such as high gain Omni antennas and high transmission power, the Shuttle modem boasts better indoor penetration for home use, and at the same time, its highly portable design makes it ideal for outdoor use.

Augere currently has access to spectrum in Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Uganda and Rwanda. Licenses are also being actively pursued across Africa and Asia. Augere’s robust deployment of wireless networks and pursuit of wireless spectrum licenses in fast emerging nations is driven by its mission to provide broadband internet to the 80% of the world’s population to whom it is currently out of reach.
